Zio's = unclean
They make so many mistakes with your order, I have seen bugs all over the place. I saw a huge bug of some kind crawl out of cash register once. The one time I was in there, I ended up sick the next morning. This place needs to be condemned.

skip out on Zios
We go to Zio's at 79th/Dodge regularly, but this last was the worst. We ordered a spicy topping pizza and a child-friendly pizza (for our 3 children under 5). The spicy 3-topping pizza came out first which was a surprise. What was supposed to be a 1/2 cheese and 1/2 pepperoni pizza, came out almost 10 minutes later with half cheese and half jalepeno peppers. Our waitress was lame and she should have double checked with the order first and then should have comp'd the order. We had to wait an additional 10 minutes before we got 4 smaller slices of pepperoni pizza. DON'T GO HERE - the service will screw up your order, it takes too long, and the food is overrated.

Ordered a pizza for carryout from the 132nd and Center store and discovered some of the toppings were missing. Called and spoke with "John" (manager) and was told the cooks informed him the pizza was made correctly. After several rounds of bantering back and forth and insinuations that I was "lying", I gave up. What happened to the concept of keeping the customer happy?! There are plenty of other pizza choices in town and Zio's just lost a formally loyal customer!

My wife and I have wanted to try Zio's for years. Today we had our chance. The restaurant (78th & Dodge) was not real busy. The server dropped off menus and said she'd be right back for our order. She returned and asked for drink orders, said she would return to take our food order. She dropped off our drinks, said she would return for our order in a few minutes. Sorry, three strikes and you're out. We went to Big Fred's --- and as always --- it was exceptional!!!

Disappointed - Had read good reviews, however waited 45 minutes for pizza while they were not very busy. Will hesitate in returning.

I ate lunch today at Zio's in the Old Market. We had to bus our own table as none were clean. We also had to ask for silverware and napkins. There were 4 people in our group, all of who ordered the 2 slice lunch special. All 4 of us were served burned pizza. The crust was literally black, and the cajun chicken topping on 2 of the 4 orders was also burned to a crisp…The last 2 trips to this particular Zio's have been terrible. It either needs new management or to be closed so it doesn't ruin the reputation of all Zio's in town.

Great food... great price... great place... living in the Old Market district gets you spoiled to having great places to eat and relax... nothing better than a slice at Zio's…
