16. Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park

Small Zoo
This is a good zoo for small children because its a small zoo, so not much walking. As of July 1st, 2009, there was lots of construction so there wasn't much to see as far as animals. There were no large animals at this zoo such as elephants, hippos, bears, giraffes. Mostly small rare animals, which was nice to see if you care for that. Otherwise, I was appalled to pay $2.00 for a super small sized bag of chips and another $2.50 for the hardest, teeth chipping ice cream from vendors that seem like they were from outside the park. This zoo would be great if they had charged less for admission during construction, and had better food selections.
