The 17,500 sq. ft space opened its doors on Nov. 25, 2005, and has since wowed both vacationers and local shoppers. The store represents Mars Inc.'s second opening of an M&M's WORLD concept, and follows the 1997 launch of the original establishment in Las Vegas. Ideally located in the Florida Mall, central Florida's largest and most popular shopping destination, M&M's WORLD breaks the chocolate mold by thrilling all five senses with interactive attractions designed to commemorate the M&M experience. One of the store's primary attractions is the MY M&M's Candies – a wall of sweet opportunities, where guests have the chance to customize their candy selection by choosing from among 22 colors of plain and peanut M&Ms. If such an extensive assortment proves daunting, visitors can receive guidance from the MY M&M's Color Mood Analyzer, an interactive station that scans visitors in order to determine what "color mood" they are in. NASCAR fans will also enjoy checking out an actual No.38 M&M's car while watching race footage on the video wall, and kids and adults alike will find the perfect photo op in the store's larger-than-life statues. Orlando's site also features more than 7,000 M&M souvenirs, including apparel, household goods, jewelry, toys, and a collector's gallery of specialty items. Ultimately, the fresh, colorful design and modern decor of the store itself contributes to a memorable M&M's WORLD experience. As scent cannons pipe out the aroma of baking chocolate and the store soundtrack plays the strains of candy being poured into a bowl, shoppers are sure to satisfy their appetite for all things sweet.
