DOWNTOWN. This contemporary, upscale bar and grill boasts marvelous eclectic eats. Asian influence predominates in many of the dishes, such as the tuna tartare with crispy wontons and sesame ginger vinaigrette. Comforting mains, like teriyaki-braised short rib with sweet risotto and sauté of vegetables, both satiate hunger and delight the palate. Bold shapes and a crisp, understated design characterize the inviting dining room and bar.

WINTER PARK. Evocative of a garden with its abundance of flowers and live trees, this restaurant is a romantic respite from run-of-the-mill establishments. With views of Park Avenue, it's also a great place to watch passers-by. The traditional menu is given over to meat and seafood entrees, each entree coupled with an appropriate sauce. The pork porterhouse is tinged with cranberries and honey; the salmon gains flavor with avocado and citrus. Snapper and crab cakes are also popular items. Sunday brunch breaks from convention with entrees ranging from omelets and French toast to wild salmon and roast duckling and appetizers including mozzarella and tomato salad and Prince Edward Island mussels. LAKE BUENA VISTA. Although it's pricey, you'll understand the expense when you attend this fabulous brunch. Preparations begin days in advance for the delectable treats offered, and guests are even invited into the kitchen to see first-hand how the meal comes together. Champagne runs freely throughout the morning, and diners may choose from an extensive selection of hot and cold dishes. A must-try.

Premium ingredients highlight menu offerings, which include asparagus crushed diver scallops and crown roast rack of lamb. Its abundant Sunday brunch draws large crowds, and the bar, which features live music, provides a luxurious spot for evening entertainment.

DOWNTOWN. A happening place, Dexter's is a great choice for lunch, dinner or after work drinks. Boasting a great happy hour, this restaurant offers tasty appetizers, beer on tap or by the bottle and wine by the glass or the bottle. The diverse menu features dishes that include White Spinach Lasagna and Applewood Smoked Salmon Fettucine, and a malted waffle station and omelette construction center are available for weekend brunch. Put on your trendiest togs, as here you'll want to see and be seen, especially if you are unattached! Outdoor patio dining available. Reservations not accepted.

One of Orlando's most popular live music venues, HOB (as it is called by those in the know) offers top-level live entertainment and a brilliant Mississippi Delta-inspired menu that features everything from jambalaya and étouffée to fried catfish and pork chops. HOB has a variety of stages, including an outdoor garden stage, an intimate jazz lounge inside and the grand main stage, where national acts perform. If architecture and interior design are your things, then you'll definitely want to tool around the eclectic bars and dining areas. Sunday's Gospel Brunch is not to be missed! Brunch reservations required.

They're well known for their great pancakes and French toast, which come with fruit toppings and an assortment of syrups. They also dish up omelets, waffles and all the traditional bacon and egg combinations. Try a side order of the savory home fries for added sustenance, and wash it all down with strong black coffee. From the diversity of the diners, you can see that all are welcome.

Their brunch choices – rich French toast topped with apples, Belgian waffles smothered in butter, syrup and powdered sugar, or a lumberjack combo with eggs, sausage or bacon, pancakes and potatoes – are tough to turn down. And the tried and true pancakes are mercifully available in several flavors – blueberry, oatmeal, wheat germ or granola.
