NEENAH. As the facility's name indicates, two families are responsible for this fascinating museum. Evangeline Bergstrom grew up in Ithaca, NY, where she first became entranced by her grandmother's paperweight. Years later, married and on a trip to Florida, she discovered a similar one. The rest, as they say, is history. Evangeline began collecting, and more than 1000 of her paperweights are now displayed in the museum. Another family, the Mahlers, donated their 150-piece collection of Germanic glass to the museum after the Bergstroms' deaths. The facility now displays them proudly, along with contemporary glass (displayed July through October) and Victorian glass (displayed March through April). In addition, the museum offers art classes for children and adults.
