DOWNTOWN. This university-affiliated gallery is located on the first floor of the Arts & Communications building. During the school year, a panel of eight students selects the artists whose works will appear in each of eight exhibits. The gallery is funded with student tuition dollars, and a large budget allows it to attract nationally- and internationally-known artists. Since Oshkosh has few venues for contemporary art, the gallery tries to keep this genre as its focus. Works cover a range of media: sculpture, drawings, paintings and photography.
