5. Military Veterans Museum

DOWNTOWN.   Temporarily closed for renovations.It took five dedicated individuals six years to make this museum a reality. Representing three branches of the armed forces – the Marines, the Army and the Air Force – they were committed to creating an educational memorial honoring those who serve in times of war and peace. Exhibits include a Jeep from Korea, military uniforms dating back to the War of 1812, original newspaper clippings relating the bombing of Pearl Harbor and Lincoln's assassination, and a huge array of service medals.   (© 10Best)
