REGIONAL AIRPORT.   This drive-in originally opened as an A&W root beer stand in 1948. Today, Ardy & Ed's still makes its own root beer, served in-house and available by the gallon to take home. Oshkoshers have been coming here for generations to nosh on fish, chicken and burger baskets – served with fries or onion rings – as well as steak sandwiches and hot dogs. For dessert, root beer floats are a local favorite, but sundaes and cones are available too. Casual attire.   (© 10Best)

Absolutely wonderful!!! My family and I come from NC every July for Airventure and the tradition has become to have dinner at Ardy & Ed's after the 18 hour straight through drive. Our friends back at home have become lovers of the restaurant's famour root beer. So, before the return to NC, we order 15-20 gallons of root beer and pick it up on our way out of town. The food is great too. Almost as good as our barbecue! Ya'll check it out!

Ardy & Ed's is an Oshkosh institution. Visitors to Oshkosh really should take the time to visit this "blast from the past" restaurant. The waitresses on roller skates gives it that real 1950's feel. The hot dogs are great and the root beer is to die for. Enjoy!
