6. Mike's Place Family Restaurant

NORTH OF DOWNTOWN.   Mike's has been an Oshkosh institution for over 30 years, and locals come regularly for breakfast dishes, broasted chicken and homemade vanilla custard. Breakfast, served until 11am each day, includes homemade hash and eggs, pecan pancakes or egg sandwiches. Mike's famous broasted chicken is available any day, but on Wednesday night, diners are given a special discount.
