Ottawa's favorite Irish Pub, with an interior crafted in and imported from the Emerald Isle itself, is a terrific place to visit and soak up a little local color and history (not to mention a pint or two). After all, namesake D'Arcy McGee, the "Father of Confederation," was assassinated on nearby Sparks Street in 1868, just a few short paces away. The pub boasts excellent selections of single-malt scotches and Irish whiskeys, as well as all the standard ales. A full Irish menu is available, including such traditional favorites as Guinness steak, shepherd's pie, Finnegan's Fry and corned beef and cabbage.
