4. Black Cat Bistro

Owner Richard Urquhart's upscale bistro has earned accolades – with good reason. A favorite, the restaurant presents modern French/Canadian fare such as duck confit with wild mushroom spätzle, rack of lamb with potato-cheddar hash, and seared scallops with lemon confit and sage sabayon. The decor is modern and minimalist – which makes the artistic plating of each dish even more pleasing. Wines play an important role, and while the list may seem brief, it's full of uniformly wonderful choices. Great service too.   (© 10Best)
