This 1928 brick and stone warehouse that once housed the Oxford Electric Company has been home to the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council since 2006. The center hosts performing and visual art exhibits, from concerts and theater to art shows in the building's exhibition hall.

Be sure to visit Rowan Oak, William Faulkner's home on Old Taylor Road in Oxford. This was the center of his universe, bought in 1930 and occupied by the family until Faulkner's death in 1962. Pay particular attention to his spare office, where he wrote the plot outline of A Fable on the walls.
