If you're interested in finding out about the history of Oxford (both town and gown), then the Museum of Oxford is the place to start. The museum chronicles everything Oxford-wise from the Ice Age through the Roman occupation to the present day. Exhibits include Roman and medieval artifacts and well-done reconstructions of scenes representing various stages in Oxford's history, including an Elizabethan parlor, a floating boathouse from the 19th century, and scenes depicting Morris Motors' significance to the city.
