This museum, which is in the original Ashmolean building built between 1678 and 1683, houses a unique collection of optical, mathematic, and scientific equipment spanning from the medieval times to the present. Some of its prizes include John Ruskin's photographs of Venice, Einstein's Oxford blackboard, an exhibit on European and Islamic astrolades, and fascinating collections of antiquated calculators and microscopes. Even if you are not scientifically inclined, this museum's 10,000-plus objects offer a little something for everybody.   (© 10Best)
