Named after famous Oxford alumnus Joseph Addison of "The Spectator" fame, the scenic Addison's Walk on the eastern fringe of Oxford Centre provides some of the best views of the "dreaming spires" one can imagine. The walk extends into Magdalen Grove, where you might catch a glimpse of one of the 40 deer grazing there. The flowing blankets of rare white and purple fritillaria and other flowers also make this walk the most romantic in Oxford. It is not uncommon to see couples enjoying a warm afternoon in one of adjoining meadows or along on the banks of the River Cherwell. (© 10Best) More Details for Addison's Walk
