2. Brown's Restaurant

Brown's is popular with locals, students, and tourists alike, and the large crowd there usually reflects this fact. Lots of greenery, several large mirrors, a skylight, and of course, large street-side windows that enhance the open atmosphere of the restaurant. However, it is their largely British menu, which includes handmade sausages with mashed potatoes and shallot gravy, or their salmon cakes served with lemon mayonnaise, that encourages diners to make repeat visits. Looks great from the outside BUT the food is very very average and service was dreadful and it wasn't asif they were busy! For a drink after work and bar snacks this is a great place, for an enjoyable dining experience i'd go elsewhere.
