5. Quod Bar and Grill

Quod is relatively new to the Oxford dining scene and a hip place to see and be part of the scene. Part of the Old Bank Hotel, its décor is sleek and upbeat, including an impressive collection of 20th century oil paintings hung throughout the restaurant. The modern British menu includes such savory selections as roast lamb shank with Sicilian aubergine caponata and monkfish with bacon salad. They also serve various pasta dishes �; the gnocchi di patate is a favorite. Quod also has a rather impressive wine list and, as one would expect, terrace dining.   (© 10Best)
