Open for lunch, dinner and dancing, this one-stop nightspot stop has it all. Throughout the year, solo artists, regional bands and special events keep the place rocking well into the early morning hours. The full menu features light appetizers, fried oysters and their famed lobster cakes – all great fuel for twirling around the floor. A good wine menu, nice beer selection and full repertoire of specialty cocktails help keep your thirsts in line. Before you leave, be sure to grab some Schooner's gear as a souvenir of your Panama City holiday.

we ate at all the places around town but all I heard was schooners from my family, I also really enjoyed the music on the beach throughout the day. Will tell everyone what a great place to eat.

I'm giving this place 2 stars because Schooners used to be a decent place. I remember as a kid I loved the live music and the food was terrific. Everything on the menu was freshly caught within 24 hours and they didn't skim on the fixings like hush puppies, fries, and every entree was huge but reasonably priced. Rarely would my dad not say hi to someone he knew and strike up a conversation. It used to be a local jem where you made sure to get there before sunset so you could watch the manager fire off the cannon into the sea. The last time I was there it was terrible. The grouper is freezer burnt (seriously, I'm not joking) and imported. Since Schooners is flanked by condos the prices skyrocketed and the size of the food makes trendy new york bistros seem gluttonous. The service is made up of eastern Europe's bitterest waitstaff and the bartender is so stingy with the alcohol you have to order a double for drink to taste it. I left before the cannons went off (if they do anymore, that may give the snowbirds a heart attack.) and I didn't care to.
