Located on the Grand Lagoon, the Boatyard is accessible by land and sea and draws high marks for its casual, Island-themed ambience and sterling cuisine. Start off with white clam chili or a lobster relleno. From there, move on to the "Tastes of the Keys": coconut-crusted grouper or Key lime garlic shrimp, for example. Their Apalachicola oysters – baked, Rockefeller or coconut fried – are justifiably popular choices as well. I'm very biased because I eat there all the time, but - it's just such a refreshingly different place - with fresh squeezed juices for your drinks and Chef Dan Pettis makes the most incredible sushi - and Chef Konrad is so crazy and full of delicious ideas - you will love it!
