April 2007 A must see. We did the DaVinci Code audiotour. Thought it might be cheesy at first BUT it was great. Saw all the major attractions/paintings with other major works through in. GREAT. To save a lot of time... enter through the metro or the Carousel (shops), rather than waiting at the glass pyramid, to save yourself 1/2 hour waiting. If you use the self serve kiosks rather than a ticket teller you'll save another 1/2 hour

You've got to see The Mona Lisa (even though you'll possibly be disappointed--remember, size is not everything). Do the quick tour & then move on to Musee D'Orsay, Musee Rodin, Musee Marmottan Claude Monet ...

Been there twice, still haven’t seen it all--guess we'll just have to go back--In the top 5 of all Paris attractions--a must do when here!

If you only have an hour, you can still see the highlights of the Louvre: start with locating and viewing Mona Lisa, then follow the route to the Venus De Milo and then the Winged Victory. Along the way you will see a lot of fine art by the masters, and it will 'wet your appetite' for a more extended visit the next time. The Louvre is a Mystery Traveler GL world-museum favorite for classical art works (and if you have the time, you can also find rooms filled with Impressionist works as well!). One note however: it gets VERY hot in the Louvre during the mid-day summer hours.... Very little air-conditioning present.
