However, regulars advise that you shouldn't take anyone's word for the quality of goods but try everything for yourself! 1er ARRONDISSEMENT. In a cinematic atmosphere with film posters all over the place, Fellini delivers consistently good Italian fare, and it does so without charging offputtingly high prices. Popular dishes include risotto with lobster and pasta with scallops. If you're less adventurous, traditional spaghetti is also satisfying. Owned by Monsieur and Madame Petit before being sold to Chef Ducasse’s Group, the restaurant delivers such popular dishes as chicken cooked in a salt crust or cassoulet with fresh beans. Service is reserved, but you'll relish this true example of authentic French fare. METRO: Châtelet

6ème ARRONDISSEMENT. You'll feel most welcome at Chez Maître Paul, which has a strong reputation for free-range chicken dishes and entrées made with Arbois wines. The menu specializes in regional dishes and wines, which add to the appeal of the cuisine. After enjoying a delicious dinner, top it off with chocolate fondant or walnut meringue. 8ème ARRONDISSEMENT. Located near the Arc de Triomphe, this quaint, Art Deco styled restaurant calls out to a variety of epicureans. They relish chef Tateru Yoshino's excellent dishes, which include scallops with caramel sauce, cabbage-truffle terrine, and langoustines in a "cappuccino" of green lentils. As you might intuit, Yoshino blends French cuisine with Japanese influences. METRO: Charles de Gaulle-Etoile (lines 1, 2, 6 or RER A)

15ème ARRONDISSEMENT. Thanks to a fixed-price menu, meals at L'Os a Moelle can be enjoyed for a reasonable expense. Chef Thierry Faucher prepares a different six-course meal every day, so although diners don't really have a choice in what they eat, by placing their trust in Faucher's culinary expertise, they come away pleased again and again. A popular place for the young, professional crowd. METRO: Lourmel (line 8)

7ème ARRONDISSEMENT. No other Parisian restaurant can boast the views that Jules Verne does, especially since it's located 400 feet up in the Eiffel Tower! Chef Alain Ducasse ensures fabulous French fare such as crab in light shrimp sauce and swordfish with potato puree and caviar. The wine list is equally superb, and an English-speaking sommelier is on hand to answer any questions you may have. The decor is techno-like, thanks to a black glossy interior. METRO: Bir-Hakeim

The entire menu changes three times per year and offers such mouth-watering delicacies as buckwheat and crab cakes and roast lamb laced with chablis. Fresh flowers adorn the interior, creating a charming, comfortable environment. Service is friendly and efficient, and prices are in synch with the quantity of food served.
