The Museum reopens fall 2009 after an $8.9 million renovation and expansion.
Since its early days, Park City has undergone substantial transformations from mining town to ski resort. This museum and jail provide a glimpse of yesteryear, housing artifacts and exhibits relating to the mining industry, stagecoach travel, and ski equipment from the town's infancy. You'll also find photos documenting Park City's history, along with a display on the impact of fires in the area. One of the most fascinating aspects of the museum is its recreated jail cell, a stark reminder of Western justice from ages past. Great for kids.
