Eden Seafood was among the top 3 seafood restaurant in Penang until some 10 years ago. Service is still good but food quality need major revamp. Cultural show is good marketing but not having the same show years after years.

Whilst Eden is very large and quite commercial, the fact that many locals eat there is an indication of the food quality. I have always had top notch service (lone diner), and recommendations for things that are not on the menu. A live band & cultural show adds to the experience - thoroughly recommend. The manager is a gem & takes care of guests superbly. Have had lots of fun nights there on my visits to Penang. Seafood is wonderful - tanks of live seafood line the entry. Try it - I'm sure you'll like it. Stick to the Tiger beer - the wine is nothing outstanding - then a cognac with coffee. A good night out - being a lone diner in a large restaurant canbe awful - never at Eden Seafood Restaurant.
