Located just outside of St. Ives, the Leach Pottery shop has been open for business since the 1920s. Throughout its history, this shop has seen the comings and goings of many pottery apprentices who have learned the tricks of the trade from pottery masters like the late Bernard Leach and Japanese potter Shoji Hamada. Next door to the pottery shop stands the Leach home, known as Pottery Cottage, which will be opened soon to exhibit a variety of pieces done by Bernard and Janet Leach and some of their now sought after apprentices. A variety of pieces are available for purchase in the showroom.
