6. Royal Cornwall Museum

Royal Cornwall Museum provides educational, entertaining information about Cornwall and beyond. The museum boasts a large permanent collection, along with rotating displays. Main exhibits include a mineral collection with more than 10,000 specimen. Paintings and drawings from the famous Newlyn School are available for viewing too and include works by such artists as Stanhope Forbes, Lamorna Birch, and Walter Langley. The archaeology and local history sections showcase leather, pottery, pewter, and glass objects from the Stone Age to the present. On-site library and gift shop available as well.   (© 10Best)
