If you are heading up to Falmouth for an excursion, be sure to plan on visiting Pendennis Castle. This grand structure was built by Henry VIII in the middle of the 16th century to keep the French from encroaching on his shores. Walk the stairwells of this imposing castle and envision life as it was back then. Enjoy the discovery center and educational tape tours. Before leaving, stop in at the gift shop for a souvenir. Coffee shop on the premises as well.
