PEORIA. Maintained by the Peoria Historical Society, this attractive Federal-style home is the oldest standing residence in Peoria and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built by John C. Flanagan in 1837, the house is authentically decorated with antique furniture, portraits, and china, offering a fascinating glimpse of privileged life in Peoria prior to the Civil War.
