2. Deer Valley Rock Art Center

DOWNTOWN PHOENIX.   Of all of the Phoenix activities one can enjoy, the Deer Valley Rock Art Center is one of the most impressive. This 47-acre site is home to over 1500 rock etchings that were created by Indians as they traveled this ancient trade route north of Phoenix. Take a tour of these amazing and mysterious pictographs, which are between 500 and 5000 years old. A gift shop can also be found on site.   (© 10Best)
