GOLDEN TRIANGLE.   This grand hotel is a National Historic Landmark whose public spaces are galleries in themselves. Located in the heart of the Golden Triangle business district and opposite Mellon Square. Five minute walk from the train station, 18 miles from the airport. Guest rooms are soundproof and decorated in a traditional motif. Built in 1916 for $6 million, and renovated in 1999. 596 rooms and suites.
