7. Plimoth Plantation

Plimoth Plantation is dedicated to recreating the life and times of the original colonists. The entire plantation is set in 1627, and costumed interpreters bring individual Pilgrims and Native people to life. Visit a Wampanoag homesite or listen to a Pilgrim talk about the hardships she encountered during her arduous journey. The Mayflower II is also part of the plantation's offerings, and combined tickets for both the ship and plantation are available.   (© 10Best)
