EDITOR REVIEW: Seeing this famous rock is a must-do during your visit to Plymouth. It's the one spot that everyone will ask if you visited. It's not really that grand or awe-inspiring, but it is a legendary part of the nation's past. The rock has had a somewhat hard life as it's been transported from spot to spot throughout the centuries and has been cracked and chipped at by souvenir hunters. In 1920, it found a safe and secure resting spot though, under a canopy designed by notable architects McKim, Mead and White. |
