Lake Wallenpaupack

This mammoth lake covers over 5700 acres. It's man-made and was constructed by the Pennsylvania Power and Light Company for the purpose of providing hydroelectric power. With 52 miles of shoreline and 13-1/2 miles in length, the lake makes an ideal destination for enjoying outdoor activities. Six recreation areas offer opportunities for exploring nature, hiking, wildlife viewing, camping, boating, canoeing and water skiing. Vacation homes available for rent line the lake's lovely shores, offering visitors a chance to comfortably stay where they play.
