From modern malls to quirky boutiques, the Ponce shopping scene has it all. Though the selection is not as extensive as that in San Juan, all of your basic shopping needs will be met. Fashionable clothing and jewelry is available in the area's two malls – one very modern, the other a renovated Art Deco jewel. Do not leave the city without purchasing a traditional carnival mask. The Ponce Carnival is the largest on the island and handcrafted masks are available in local shops for as little as $5.
