3. Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden

Of all Portland Parks, Crystal Springs is the only one completely maintained by volunteers. With more than 500 rhododendrons and azaleas, Crystal Springs is a beautiful example of civic teamwork. This pleasant Portland park marks the first Saturday in April each year as "the early show," and guests are invited to view fantastic flora for a small fee. Crystal Springs Lake only adds to this Portland community park's scenic appeal.   (© 10Best)

Heaven on Earth. Peaceful and beautiful in all seasons. Beautifully maintained. There is a small admission charge, which I consider a privilege to pay.
