Part of the Governor Tom McCall Waterfront Park in Portland, the Japanese-American Historical Plaza commemorates those who were deported to inland internment camps during World War II. Always a busy Oregon attraction, this historic Portland icon features artwork, a garden and sculptures, all depicting the stories of Japanese-Americans, immigrants, soldiers and supporters of the Japanese-American people. With a variety of activities surrounding the plaza, it's a good idea to reserve a day for this Portland memorial park.
