7. First Thursdays of Portland

PEARL DISTRICT.   First Thursdays of Portland is a popular event for locals to see and be seen. It's a time when downtown galleries open their doors and celebrate featured artists. Street vendors also put out their wares, and activities include live music, hors d'oeuvres, and wine tastings. A typical evening begins with happy hour and features popular galleries like the Lawrence Gallery, the Gottlieb Gallery, and the Attic Gallery. On First Avenue, more than eleven unique establishments sit next to one another, making for convenient browsing.
