CITY CENTER. Founded in the 12th century by a medieval queen, this cathedral has endured centuries of change. For example, the rose window in the west front is the only remnant from the 13th century, a Gothic cloister was added in the late 14th century, and the main chapel was built in the 17th century. An 18th century staircase to upper levels provides access to a spectacular view of the city.
