VILA NOVA DE GAIA. This octagonal church provides vast views of the city of Porto and once aided the future Duke of Wellington in his surprise attack in 1809. A majority of the monastery is closed to the public. The church, however, can be visited during mass on Sunday mornings.   (© 10Best)
