CITY CENTER. This massive 18th century palace is a wonderful example of the customs and the times in turn-of-the-century Portugal. In addition, there are earlier archaeological discoveries and exhibits. Birthing chairs, rural costumes, ceramics for both function and beauty, and Porto's first elevator from 1910 are displayed here. A weaver's shop and wine cellar have been reconstructed to their original state.   (© 10Best)
