CITY CENTER. This Italian Baroque church was the first to be built on an oval plan in Portugal. Built between 1732 and 1750 by Niccolo Nasoni, this beautiful structure is known for its decorative style and the adjacent 246-foot tower with a beautiful Baroque-style church at its base. The tower is best known as one of the city's tallest landmarks. Breathtaking views await you after a 200-step climb to the top of the tower.
