7. Nossa Senhora dos Remedios

LAMEGO. The 18th century church is highlighted by the lavishly decorated stairway with over 600 steps. This stairway exhibits great similarities to Braga's Bom Jesus stairway. Many devout pilgrims make this arduous climb on their hands and knees. Visitors can reach the twin-towered church by car to enjoy the magnificent, panoramic view of the city.   (© 10Best)
