This place is worth a detour. This artisan ice cream shop and bakery offers some of the finest gelatos and glace you will find in the U.S., plus delicious pastries, thick European hot chocolate, and more. Portions are small, prices seemingly high, but once you've tasted it, you will understand that quality of this sort is a bargain. They are highly regarded by Gourmet, Bon Appetit, and long lines of loyal fanatics. Flavors change constantly, with vanilla and chocolate about the only constants, as the chefs utilize whatever fruits and other produce are fresh, local, and at the peak of their perfection. Always sixteen flavors to choose from (including several non-dairy sorbets), and you can have two flavors in a small, three in a medium, etc.
