2. Atchafalaya Nightclub

At first glance, and from the outside, Atchafalaya may seem a bit imposing (maybe even downright rough), but don't let that first impression prevent you from coming in, ordering a few drinks, and having a great time with the locals. This private nightclub, named after a half million acres of southern Louisiana river-basin swampland, has a distinct, bayou-themed interior, complete with raftered ceiling, a rowboat perched above the bar, rustic ceiling fans, and the occasional fishing net.
