LEHI. A little history first: Bodyguard to some of the LDS church's earliest leaders (including Joseph Smith and Brigham Young), the enigmatic Porter Rockwell was accused of just about everything at least once, including the attempted assignation of Governor Boggs of Missouri. Porter's Place remembers this fascinating historical figure with rustic, Old West-style decor and furniture and a 19th century bar that once belonged to a Montana saloon. As you might expect, the cuisine is traditional American, including hearty red meat, chicken, and fish entrees, as well as heaping vegetable side dishes. No alcohol is served.
