Where The Dolphins Come From...
The dolphins featured in Ocean World may be cute and always seem to have a smile on their face, but in fact, these poor creatures were shipped in pitch black, concrete pools from Japan, where illegal drive hunts are held. Drive hunts are when fishermen create loud noises in the water to distrupt the dolphins' echo-location, and herd them into a small lagoon. They then wait a day until returning to the defenceless dolphins and brutally slaughter the animals, ussually by stabbing them through their blow holes with spears, before dragging them onto a small boat to die in agony along with many others. Ocean World bought 12 bottlenosed dolphins for $400, 000! Please think about where these animals have came from, and what they have gone through before you take the plunge, thanks x
