PUERTO PLATA.   Visitors with an uncontrollable urge to shop usually head to Plaza Turisol Complex for its large selection of outlets – the largest, in fact, on the north coast. This complex boasts more than 80 shops, and some of the island's most upscale clothing stores can be found here.
