4. Domaine Maizerets

LIMOILOU.   Once a private estate, Domaine Maizerets now offers Québecers a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Located along the bike path which connects Vieux Québec with Montmorency Falls, the property has much to recommend it. In the summer, the leafy arboretum is a shady spot to relax and cool off, the lovely gardens and lawns are ideal for strolling, and free concerts and plays supply a bit of additional entertainment. In the winter, the spot is extremely popular for both cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, with numerous groomed trails. The visitor centre is open daily for equipment rental.   (© 10Best)
