MONTCALM.
In the mood for tasty, authentic Italian pizza with a crust so thin you could read a newspaper through it (well, almost!)? Then head over to Momento, one of the best Italian eateries outside the city walls. Located just off the Grand-allée, this restaurant is renowned citywide for its pizza pies. Pick your poison in terms of toppings: mandarin oranges, sun-dried tomatoes, sautéed veggies – whatever you want. If a full meal is more your speed, Momento also serves excellent osso buco of lamb, seafood linguini and, yes, even scallops. Don't come here and think you can eat light – that would just be an exercise in futility!

Great place if you are local. If from out of town avoid
My wife and I went on the last night of our vacation. I made a reservation the day before without a problem. When we arrived when I asked for a menu in english (in french) I was treated like a second class citizen. My wife and I were fortunate to eat outside. The atmosphere was great to start. Unfortunately it ended there. Our waiter finally came after bringing everyone around us dessert and checks. So I ordered wine for myself and when he went to pour it actually poured it all over my khakis. No apologizies or I'm sorry. I don't care what language you speak but that is not a tough phrase when you spill something on someone. ANyways. We ordered an appetizer (cheese bread) and our our dinners at the same time. Since it took so long for him to come over it made sense to not wait around for him to come back. The garlic bread arrived shortly thereafter. It was delicious. Then our nightmare continued. After 50 minutes ( i just brushed it off as they didn't want to rush us) our waiter comes over with desert menus. THat's right. We never received out entree but he was bringing desert menus. He looked perplexed when we told him and then had to wait over 30 minutes for our dinner. No one ever came over to apologize or discuss with us. But prior to this incident the maitre'de came over to all the locals to check on their dinners. So if you are local or are fluent in French you are luck. But if you are a tourist expect to be treated as such. It's sad as we were in Quebec and Montreal for a week and never had an issue with service until we tried this restaurant. Avoid at all costs.
