About Queensbury

Queensbury began as a Quaker settlement in 1763 and has since become a leader in the development of Warren County, New York. Located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, Queensbury was once a part of the great Northern wilderness. The Iroquois valued the area for bountiful hunting and fishing during the summer months. During the French and Indian War, this area became an important route for the Colonial Army, and after the war the English Lt. Governor encouraged settlers to establish...
