5. La Ronda

OLD TOWN.   This quiet street is one of Quito's best-preserved sections of 18th century architecture. The street – really more of an alley – winds between stucco houses with small windows and brightly colored balconies. In times past La Ronda was the southern road out of Quito. It is a wonderful spot for a leisurely stroll when the weather is nice.   (© 10Best)
